Building on its 2019 launch, QUICKSURFACE continues to redefine reverse engineering. The 2025 release introduces powerful tools designed to simplify processes, accelerate workflows, and address industry challenges, unlocking new opportunities for efficiency and innovation.

New Features in QUICKSURFACE 2025

Attendees were introduced to several innovative features of QUICKSURFACE 2025, including:

  • Faster STL import: Import large STL files up to 2.5 times faster than the previous versions of QUICKSURFACE
  • Prepare Scan Wizard: Designed to simplify scan data preparation for engineering workflows, reducing the time and effort required. Step-by-step workflow guides the user to setup the scan ready for remodeling.
  • Segmentation: Use the segmentation based on curvature only when needed to extract primitives or fit free-form surfaces. Change in real-time the region of interest for maximum performance.
  • Sketch Assist: Generating sketches automatically from scan data cross sections with smart algorithms, thereby improving precision and speeding up the design process.
  • Roll/Unroll: Created to enable the flattening or manipulation of curved surfaces, offering more flexibility when dealing with complex geometries. The ability to roll back the created 2D sketches, makes the workflow the most effective for such shapes
  • Class A Surfaces: With the ability to create surfaces with maximum degree, the resulted fit surface approximates the scan data in the best possible way and is a Class A (G3 continuous everywhere). These type of surfaces are very important when used in automotive, aerospace and consumer products design.
  • Edit Boundaries: Smooth selectively boundaries where you need to keep sharp corners. Insert anchor points to control which part of the boundary to be smoothed. Improving the boundaries is an essential requirement for effective auto surfacing for hybrid modelling.

Live demonstrations were conducted to illustrate how these tools bridge the gap between raw scan data and precise CAD models.
